Nach unserem mehrstündigen Hands-on haben wir aktuell noch Zweifel daran, dass sich die Konsole als „Wii-Nachfolger“ profilieren kann. […] ruckeligen Performance der Spiele und der komplexen Menüführung […] aber vor allem die leicht schwammige Kontrolle via Drehscheibe bereitete uns immer wieder Probleme und die Bewegungs-Steuerung artete in wildes Gefuchtel aus. Der Touchscreen eignet sich für simple Eingaben […] in hektischen Titeln […] wirkt das alles andere als intuitiv und benötigt viel Eingewöhnungszeit. Auch beim angekündigten Spielenachschub sind wir noch skeptisch.

Sorry for the English, but I don’t want anything lost in machine translation. The English speaking people who are interested in the progress (or lack thereof) of Intellivision Amico enjoyed this article. It is one of the first times anyone, in any country, has bothered to critique the unreleased machine. Unlike other articles, this is not just a press release, and it’s not totally favorable.
The moderator of a Reddit group dedicated to Amico went so far as to censor a mention of this article, because it was not as complimentary as they would like. The social scene around this project is highly peculiar and there seems to be a drive to bury anything negative about Intellivision, Amico, or the CEO.
I encourage you to continue speaking simple truths about this obviously flawed device and company.
