To many, this game system was a relic of the past and was largely forgotten, until now.
In 2018 video game legend Tommy Tallarico announced plans to bring back a re-imagined version of the Intellivision as the Intellivision Amico. Always a maverick, Tommy senses an enormous gap in the video game market between what has become known as casual and hardcore gamers. With the Amico, his intended goal is to bring these two groups together around a shared experience. In effect, Tommy’s bet is that today’s generation will enjoy the couch co-op experience today just as much as he did in the ‘80s. If he is correct, the Amico could be the next big thing in video games.
